MSCI Barra has entered into an arrangement with Morningstar, Inc. under which Morningstar now calculates and distributes hedge fund indices by applying the MSCI Hedge Fund Index Methodology and Hedge Fund Classification Standard to Morningstar's hedge fund database. This exciting development means that subscribers to the MSCI Hedge Fund Indices & Database receive the best of both worlds: a superior index methodology combined with a hedge fund database that is almost three times larger.

These indices and the Morningstar database have replaced the MSCI Hedge Fund Indices & Database.
