Growth attribute for index construction is defined using:

• Long-term forward earnings per share (EPS) growth rate*
• Short-term forward EPS growth rate
• Current internal growth rate
• Long-term historical EPS growth trend
• Long-term historical sales per share growth trend.

*The long term forward EPS growth rate variable is not used to define the growth style characteristics of securities in the MSCI Global Small Cap Indices due to a lack of consistent availability of that variable.
