From Depth to Breadth: Expanding the View of Physical Risk Analysis

Physical climate risks can affect individual assets, disrupt critical infrastructure, and reverberate across global supply chains, at the same time, resource constraints, geopolitical developments, and other emerging risks are creating new sources of vulnerability that traditional approaches to risk analysis may not fully capture.

Join MSCI for an interactive discussion exploring how advances in data, climate science, and analytics can help investors and companies gain a more comprehensive understanding of these evolving risks.

Following MSCI's acquisition of First Street, this session will examine how physics-based climate science is enhancing MSCI's physical risk capabilities, attendees will learn how next-generation hazard models, including wildfire, high-resolution flood, and severe convective storm risk, are developed, validated, and applied to financial decision-making.

The conversation will then expand beyond individual assets to explore how risks can propagate through global supply chains. MSCI will showcase new Supply Chain Intelligence capabilities designed to map relationships across companies and suppliers, helping organizations uncover exposures that may otherwise remain hidden.

Through real-world examples and an interactive exercise, participants will explore how supply-chain dependencies can reshape assessments of physical climate risks, water scarcity, and other emerging challenges.
