Putting Climate Talk Into Action: Climate Change is No Longer a Hypothetical Risk

It is already transforming the global economy, reshaping markets, and altering the investment landscape. While climate change may pose a systemic risk to the financial sector, it may also present investors with new and previously unavailable investment opportunities.

In our joint MSCI-PGIM webinar, we will bring together climate and sustainability experts who will provide investment insights from the perspective of both an asset manager and asset owner. We’ll also utilize MSCI’s leading ESG analytics and data capabilities to highlight ways institutional investors are leveraging climate data.

The discussion will address some of investors’ greatest challenges on the road to a net zero world, including:

  • Accessing climate data to benchmark, measure and manage portfolio exposure to climate risk
  • Understanding the factors preventing investors from integrating climate considerations in their portfolio and asset allocation decisions and how to overcome these hurdles
  • Exploring the investment outlook for early adopters of climate-aware investing
  • Identifying new and innovative investment opportunities to build more climate-resistant portfolios
