UK Lease Event Review

Please join us for the launch of the 2018 UK Lease Event Review on the morning of Wednesday, November 7. We are continuing our collaborative efforts for the 16th year to again bring a holistic view of UK leasing activity and current trends to the market.

MSCI, along with BNP Paribas Real Estate and the BPF, has long pursued a thorough understanding of UK leasing activity through real estate investment research. This research focuses on two distinct elements; new leasing trends in the marketplace and the effect on income when a lease event, such as a break or expiry, occurs. Such an understanding has grown in importance through the recent market cycle as tenant default weighed on landlord incomes and shorter lease lengths required careful active asset management.

This exciting research allows us to report on new lease terms, propensity to break, lease re-gears and on-going lease term preferences. During the event, we will view the market as a whole, by location and also by sector. The presentation will be followed by a panel session of industry experts.
