About us

MSCI ESG Ratings and Research Private Limited is registered with SEBI as a ‘Category II’ ESG Rating Provider (ERP). MSCI ESG Ratings and Research Private Limited is surrendering its certificate of registration in India with SEBI. As a result, effective as of February 9, 2026, MSCI will no longer provide locally regulated ESG ratings products relating to India-domiciled issuers to users in India. MSCI will still serve the Indian domestic market by providing certain sustainability and climate data products, as permitted under local regulatory requirements.

MSCI ESG Ratings and Research Private Limited is the step-down subsidiary of MSCI Inc. MSCI has decades of experience in research, data and technology, designed to bring greater transparency to financial markets and use innovation to drive global economies and power better investment decisions.

With more than 25 years of experience in strategic planning and technology leadership, he has a proven track record of leading large-scale software engineering projects for the Banking and Finance industry.

Daisy Bandrawala

Non- Executive Director, MSCI ESG Ratings and Research Private Limited

Daisy Bandrawala is a chartered accountant with more than 25 years of experience in the Banking and Finance industry. She has been with MSCI for over 14 years and heads the Mumbai Finance Center of Excellence. She is proficient in various areas of finance including financial planning and analytics, digital transformation, automation, building internal controls, global stakeholder management, strategy and driving efficiencies.
