MSCI in practice: What’s next for the EBA Pillar 3 ESG Disclosure Requirements?
In 2022, the European Banking Authority (EBA) published binding standards on Pillar 3 disclosures on ESG risks focused on banks’ vulnerabilities, mitigation capabilities, and engagement with counterparties. In 2024, all 10 templates came into focus as the EBA asked banks for disclosures on climate risk, mitigation actions, Green Asset Ratio, and Banking Book Taxonomy Alignment ratio.
Watch here as we walk hrough the EBA Pillar 3 Disclosure requirements (with a focus on the new templates due that year), explain how our MSCI ESG & Climate Solutions were designed to support and accelerate alignment with these ESG disclosure requirements, and share insights on lessons learned from the 2023 reporting efforts.
