Providing IT services increasingly means storing, analyzing, and sometimes selling vast sets of data, a large portion of it personal. 90% of the data that exists in the world was just created in the past two years(1). It includes items like social networking posts, YouTube videos, email, financial records and purchase histories, health records, web browsing and search habits, and real-time locations. However, as the cost of data breaches and privacy controversies continue to rise each year, not only regulators are taking notice. Which Software & IT companies could be the next targets of hackers?
