MSCI ESG Virtual Event for Corporate Issuers: COP26 Key Takeaways

We are excited to bring you the opportunity to hear from our experts on the heels of this year’s COP26 climate change conference. Simone Ruiz-VergoteHead of ESG Policy and Engagement, in conversation with Sylvain VanstonHead of Climate Investment Research, will discuss their experience on the ground at the conference and review the most relevant developments and commitments for corporate issuers around the world.

This year, the 26th annual “Conference of the Parties,” COP26, will take place between October 31st and November 12th in Glasgow, Scotland. COP26 is an opportunity for global leaders and stakeholders to discuss the implementation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. In 2015 at COP21, the landmark Paris Agreement, which aims to limit warming to no more than 2°C and a preference for 1.5°C, emerged. This year is pivotal as countries have committed to review and strengthen their Nationally Determined Contributions (“NDCs”) for the first time since 2015.

At this virtual event, we will share the latest on crucial outcomes for companies and the implications of these outcomes towards combatting climate change.
