To kick off 2026, Private i delivered a new wave of enhancements focused on smarter investment analysis, deeper ESG integration, and faster, more flexible reporting across private markets.

During MSCI's Private i Q1 2026 Enhancements Webinar, where we walked through the most impactful updates — plus what's coming next.

Q1 2026 highlights include:

• Investment Look-through, now live

  Link investments to underlying records and run reports that automatically substitute look-through output — with full weighting and currency conversion applied.

• Expanded Data Explorer for Transparency clients 

  New measures including Loss Ratio (Weighted), Total Value, and pooled calculation totals give deeper visibility directly within the Holdings view.

• Automated carbon emissions reporting 

  End-to-end integration with MSCI's ESG and On-Demand Sustainability APIs replaces manual workflows, with updated Emission Quality Score fields across the platform.

• Smarter export and report organisation 

  Create subfolders within Configurable Exports, lock allocation rows in Funds Console, and carry context across to Run Report — all designed to reduce repetitive steps.

• Quick-access support and usability upgrades 

  A new Client Support Site icon, Excel-exportable entity grids, improved Manager ID display, and enhanced Peer Group filtering, all from the March 7th release.
