Rick Bookstaber is the director of risk research. Rick has held chief-risk-officer roles at major banks and hedge funds, most recently at the pension and endowment of the University of California. He served in the Obama administration in various roles in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. He is the author of A Demon of Our Own Design and The End of Theory. He holds a doctorate in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
