Commercial real estate investors at the start of 2023 face a different investment landscape compared to the start of last year. Acquisition momentum stalled across most property types later in the second half of 2022 as rising borrowing costs challenged new deals. Price growth decelerated but did not go into reverse and there was little evidence of distressed assets coming to market. How might these trends evolve into 2023?
