How the Energy Transition Index differs from paper decarbonization
Many climate approaches lower a portfolio's carbon number by excluding high emitters. The Energy Transition Index retains broad representation while applying greater index weight to companies identified as executing transition plans. This means decarbonization reflects real business change rather than portfolio construction alone.
