While Head of Index Applied Research, Brett Hammond advised asset owners and managers on the role of indexes in asset allocation and portfolio construction. Brett has published more than 30 articles and books on finance, higher education, and public policy. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Executive Chair of the Research Council on Global Investment. He is Program Chair and Executive Vice President of the Institute for Research in Quantitative Finance and on the advisory board of the Wharton School’s Pension Research Council. He is past president of the Society of Quantitative Analysts. Brett received BA degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.Information correct as of blog post publish date.
