Gareth Shepherd co-leads MSCI’s research-driven innovation across analytics, forecasting, decision-making and AI-native infrastructure. He previously co-led the Voya Machine Intelligence Group after Voya Financial acquired G-Squared Capital, which he co-founded in 2011 and grew into a leading AI-driven hedge fund. Earlier, he co-managed equity portfolios at IJ Partners, where he developed early AI tools for stock selection. Gareth holds a Ph.D. in AI from the University of New South Wales and is a CFA® charterholder.
