Baer Pettit has been President of MSCI since 2017 and has been a member of MSCI’s Board of Directors since January 2023.
Baer has served in a variety of executive-level roles since joining MSCI in 2000, including leading the firm’s Coverage, Marketing, Index and Product functions and as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the firm Baer worked as Head of EMEA Client Coverage for Bloomberg and in equity derivatives at Barclays De Zoete Wedd and Morgan Stanley Asset Management.
Baer holds a Master of Arts in History from Trinity College, Cambridge University and a Master of Science from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
