The MSCI High Dividend Yield (HDY) Indexes aim to reflect the opportunity set of companies with high dividend income and quality characteristics. The MSCI HDY Index methodology includes companies with higher-than-average dividend yields relative to the parent index that are sustainable and persistent. In addition, the MSCI HDY Index methodology seeks to exclude stocks with consistently deteriorating fundamentals.
